Have you stopped for a moment recently to see how attractive Brittas Village is becoming? That hasn't happened by accident! There are members of our community spending their own spare time, planning and working hard at making Brittas very pretty. We owe the Brittas Tidy Towns team our thanks and gratitude for what they are doing, which is for all our benefit.
In testament to our villager’s commitment to social and community involvement, social events are held in the local community centre, to foster community spirit, and address rural social isolation. Due to the success of these gatherings and obvious need, we established a Tidy Towns group, to enhance the beauty of our village and to reach out to all members of our community.
The community residents have built an allotment for our primary school, and completed a heritage project and the results are placed on a display in the community centre garden, along with a 1916 memorial. We actively encourage everyone to join-in to make our village be a great place to live. The village has a three-year plan in progress. We are very proud of the achievements so far, but we need your help to continue growing stonger….
